Flashlight Worthy Books

A few weeks ago, I discovered a new wonderful new site called Flashlight Worthy Books. It's a terrific resource for book lovers because it is a huge collection of "lists" for great book recommendations!

"Flashlight Worthy is nothing but thoughtful, hand-picked recommendations... Organized into hundreds of useful, interesting, fun lists... And all we do is books. :)"

One of their latest lists is very near and dear to my heart since it is The 10 Best Books of 2009 for Book Clubs! This isn't your typical list since it consists of books that aren't necessarily the "most-popular" book club selections. I was a little disappointed in myself because I haven't read/finished any of them (but I do own five of them!) Needless to say, more books have been added to my must-read list! But I have a feeling that Flashlight Worthy Books is going to be responsible for adding a lot of books to my ever-growing list!

I was very excited to see that Flashlight Worthy included SHELF DISCOVERY: THE TEEN CLASSICS WE NEVER STOPPED READING by Lizzie Skurnick as one of The 10 Best Books of 2009 for Book Clubs! I am reading this book right now and loving it, and I think many women will enjoy reading about the books we all loved as young girls! And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I am hosting the SHELF DISCOVERY CHALLENGE (nothing like a little shameless self-promotion.) There is still plenty of time to sign up and possibly win a copy of the book (I am giving away 10 copies!) All you have to pick six books that you want to read from 70+ books covered in SHELF DISCOVERY. They can be new to you or re-reads! Here is a link to the covers of many of the books mentioned in SHELF DISCOVERY.

Flashlight Worthy Books is terrific! I am a huge fan of lists (and also a huge list-maker) so their site definitely appeals to me! If you haven't checked them out yet, you are really missing out!

I've been following FWB on Twitter for a long time now. I've even contributed to their calls for book suggestions.
