Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge

I've officially caved! I must admit that when I first read that Beth Fish Reads was hosting the Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge, I thought it was a great idea but I wasn't really interested. I am somewhat familiar with this series, but I wasn't sure that they were for me -- if you know what I mean.

Then, I caught wind of all the excitement on Twitter and wanted to be a part of all the fun. A little friendly peer pressure didn't hurt either!

So here are the details:

Between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010, catch up on Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series. No matter if you're starting with book 1 or book 8, you have a year to read all about Sookie. Read Sookie in print, listen to the audio, read an eBook -- format is not an issue.

The Books:

Dead Until Dark
Living Dead in Dallas
Club Dead
Dead to the World
Dead as a Doornail
Definitely Dead
All Together Dead
From Dead to Worse
Dead and Gone

Sound fun? Then join me and head on over to Beth Fish Reads and sign up! I think it's going to be a blast!

Good luck! I'll think about this one.

I've got the first one, Dead Until Dark, on Mt. TBR, but I haven't gotten any of the others yet. I'm waiting to see if I like them. I've got True Blood season 1 in my queue at Netflix, too, but I'm waiting until I finish reading the book.

I'm not sure if I'm going to do the challenge or not, I think I want to see if I like it first :-)

Hi there! I'm on board for the challenge too - the titles of the books alone are irresistable, and enough to make me want to read them!

Yay!! It'll be fun and there's no pressure -- less than a book a month.

Sounds like fun. I've already read all of them. I might follow along to what others think, though.

This is going to be so much fun! I agree about the Twitter end of things - the excitement makes it so much more enticing. I've been thinking about reading this series but just never got around to getting any of the books. Beth F. has jumpstarted me, that's for sure!

This sounds great! I just signed up, since I just picked up book #4, Dead to the World. I did not expect to like this series at all, but I find myself strangely attracted to it. Maybe I'm being glamored!
