Mailbox Monday - January 26, 2009

I had another huge week of book goodies! So many of these books look wonderful, and I can't wait to read them. Quite a few of this week's stash are for book blog tours that are coming up in the next month or so.

I've found by participating in Mailbox Monday that I need to learn to say no. There is absolutely no way I can read at the pace I'm receiving books. Even so, I do love getting packages.

Here's what I found in my mailbox this week:

MADEWELL BROWN by Rick Collignon

GOING GRAY: HOW TO EMBRACE YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF WITH GRACE AND STYLE by Anne Kreamer

THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett

THE SCHOOL OF ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS by Erica Bauermeister

BEAT THE REAPER (audio book) by Josh Bazell

HOLIDAY ON ICE (audio book) by David Sedaris

GALWAY BAY by Mary Pat Kelly

DROOD by Dan Simmons

FIREFLY LANE by Kristin Hannah

THE PALACE OF ILLUSIONS by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

THE YEAR THE SWALLOW CAME EARLY by Kathryn Fitzmaurice

What did you get last week?

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.

We got some of the same books. I can't wait to see if the Beat the Reaper audio lives up to the book.

Awesome stash! Firefly Lane was the first book of Kristin Hannah's that I've read, and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to hear what you think about The Help!

Oh, I JUST requested Madewell Brown - it looks so good! You got some of the same books I have gotten in the last couple of weeks: The Help, The School of Essential Ingredients, Beat the Reaper, Galway Bay and Firefly Lane. They all look so good, don't they?

Julie, that's why I don't participate in Mailbox Monday, lol, it's embarrassing how many books I get a week.

Having said that, part of the problem this week is how huge both Drood and Galway Bay are!!!

This is the first week that I have nothing to post! I do need the break to catch up. You had a mailbox full of great books! I have The Help and Firefly Lane and can't wait to get The School of Essential Ingredients.

Looks like lots of us got Drood, Galway Bay, or both. Good haul this week! Maybe it will slow down so you can catch up..at least that's what I keep thinking.

I know what you mean about needing to say no... That said, you've received a couple of books that I requested and (probably) won't be getting (The Help and The School of Essential Ingredients) and at least one that I wish I'd requested (Drood)! It's so hard to say no!

My Mailbox Monday post is here.
