Progressive Dinner - Strawberry Spinach Salad

I am so happy that I can be part of the Progressive Dinner Party. I signed up to share a recipe for a salad, and this one for Strawberry Spinach Salad is super easy! Plus since it's green and red, this salad looks especially festive for the holiday season.

1 pound fresh baby spinach (stems removed)
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1 cup sugar (I use a little less)
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoon minced onion
1 teaspoon ground poppy seeds
2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Clean spinach. Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, onion, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds. Shake dressing well and pour over spinach and strawberries.

I'm not a huge fan of strawberries or raw spinach but if a salad is done right. fruit in a salad is yummy and this sounds great. I may try it.
