Book Blogger Appreciation Week Giveaway

Summary: "Now we're just alike." So begins Fiona and Patricia's friendship that warm autumn morning in first grade in Lake Charles, Louisiana, their bond forged ever closer by Fiona's abusive mother and Patricia's neglectful one. Their relationship is a source of continuity and strength through their move to L.A. to become actresses; through Fiona's marriage and Patricia's sudden fame. When husband and career pressures exact a toll, the women wonder if their friendship can survive. Then a dark secret from their past emerges, threatening to destroy not only their bond, but all they've worked for as well.

The Safety of Secrets is a beautifully written exploration of the bonds forged in childhood and challenged decades later, of the fulfillment of dreams and the damage they can cause, and of secrets being uncovered and the truth we find inside. -- Avon A

As part of Book Blogger Appreciation Week, I want to offer a brand new copy of THE SAFETY OF SECRETS by Delaune Michel to one lucky reader. I know I don't say this enough, but I really appreciate everything you book bloggers do! You provide me with loads of book ideas and endless hours of entertainment! I also want to thank all of the readers who visit Booking Mama. I always look forward to your comments and feedback -- they really make my day. I love that I've "met" so many wonderful friends through the blogging experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed THE SAFETY OF SECRETS when I read it a few months ago, and I would love to share it with one of my blogging buddies -- that means a book blogger or a book blogger reader. You can read my review if you want to learn more about it.

To be eligible to win, all you have to do is leave a comment with your e-mail address. I'm adding one additional requirement this time. Please name a book you'd like to read that you learned about on Booking Mama . If you want to double your chances, blog about this contest with a link back to this post. The contest will run until Friday, September 19th at 11:59 p.m. EST. Unfortunately, this contest is for those of you with U.S. and Canada addresses only.

Good luck to everyone and thanks for visiting my blog!

What a great contest! I really enjoy reading your blog!

I learned about "Without a Backward Glance" from reading your blog, and then went on to review it and interview Kate Veitch on my blog. I also can't wait to read "Falling Under," which I read about here!

Keep up the great work!

I would love to be entered into this contest as well. I just love your blog and was saddened that you were not among the finalists for BBAW! I found out about "Falling Under" here like Anna, and I contacted the author and she will send me a copy to read and review. I am excited.

This book looks really good. I love stories about secrets from the past coming back to haunt people in the present. Fun!

You've reviewed a bunch of books that subsequently ended up on my TBR list. The Call to Shakabaz is one, Matrimony is another, and this one, of course. I can't remember all of them, but you always have great recommendations. Thanks!
